The Queensland Labor Government has finally seen sense and provided the remaining approvals for the New Acland Mine to reopen.
This ends 15 years of uncertainty, which I know has taken a toll on Oakey locals and businesses.
But the town stood up and fought for their jobs and community, and I am grateful for their advocacy.
This project has my full support and I look forward to seeing it deliver 600 jobs and a revitalised local economy.
