A Dutton LNP Government will deliver $1.8 million in funding to upgrade the Black Gully Linear Corridor and Captain Cook Recreation Reserve in the Toowoomba region.
Federal Member for Groom, Garth Hamilton, said a Dutton LNP Government would partner with the Toowoomba Regional Council to deliver the much-needed upgrades to the regions greenspaces and parks.
“Our rapidly growing communities in Rockville, Wilsonton, Wilsonton Heights and Newtown are home to many young families who utilise our local parks,” Mr Hamilton said.
“As part of this investment we’ll see community infrastructure delivered by Council – this could include pathways for walking and cycling, play equipment, covered areas, better picnic and barbeque facilities, improved lighting, parking and green space.”
The LNP has a strong, fully costed plan to deliver the support our community needs for a better future. Our plan will support young people and enable more recreation in our community.
This project is part of the LNP’s plan to get Australia back on track and strengthen communities.
