Investments by the former Liberal National Coalition Government continue to roll out in Toowoomba, with the upgrades at Mary MacKillop Catholic College in Highfields officially opened.
Federal Member for Groom, Garth Hamilton, who fought for investment in schools across the region said it was an important day that demonstrated the benefits of a strong voice in government.
“The Coalition government was committed to the capital grants program, partnering with schools and school communities to take projects from concept to construction.
“The upgraded amenities, learning spaces and the performing arts centre will deliver a legacy for students for many years to come.
“Working with the school, I advocated and secured $1 million in funding to partner with the state government, school and it’s great to see the project now complete,”
Mr Hamilton said there were a number of projects across the Toowoomba region that continued to be delivered as a result of the former Coalition government investing in Groom.
