On May 3rd, 2025, Australians have a choice: stay on Labor’s path of rising costs and declining living standards, or back a Dutton Liberal National Government to get the country back on track.
Federal Member for Groom, Garth Hamilton says Australians simply cannot another three years of Labor.
“Many in our community are doing it tough, and we simply cannot afford to keep going down the path we are on.
“This election is about securing a better future for our families, our workers, and our communities.”
“Australians can’t afford three more years of the Albanese Labor Government,” Mr Hamilton said.
Under Labor, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and Australians are feeling the pinch like never before.
“Australia’s core inflation has been, on average, more than double what it was under the Coalition,” Mr Hamilton said.
“Rent and mortgage stress is crippling families, with many struggling to keep their homes. At the same time, power bills, grocery costs, and insurance premiums are skyrocketing, making it harder for people to make ends meet.”
“It’s unacceptable that so many young Australians are giving up on the dream of home ownership, and that families are being squeezed at every turn.”
“Accessing a GP has become increasingly difficult and expensive, leaving many without proper healthcare.”
“Crime on our streets is on the rise, leaving our communities feeling less safe and more vulnerable,” Mr Hamilton said.
The Liberals and Nationals’ plan to get Australia back on track will deliver:
- A stronger economy with low inflation.Reining in wasteful spending, reducing fuel excise, cutting red tape, and ensuring union bosses don’t hold small businesses back.
- Cheaper energy.A balanced mix of renewables, natural gas, and zero-emissions nuclear energy to replace retiring coal plants in seven locations.
- Affordable homes.Funding critical housing infrastructure, supporting first-home buyers, restricting foreign investors, and reducing Labor’s record migration to sustainable levels.
- Safer communities.Tougher laws on violent crime by non-citizens, stronger national security, tightened bail and knife laws, and improved online safety for children.
- Better healthcare.Easier access to GPs, increased bulk billing, and a doubling of Medicare-subsidised mental health sessions.
“We need to get our country back on track and help all Australians get ahead”, Mr Hamilton said.
“A Dutton Liberal National Government will govern with respect for the views, values, and vision of everyday Australians.
“Together, let’s build a stronger, safer, and better Australia.”
